Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Los Angeles-based Occidental Petroleum Corp. has completed a Mississippian test that initially pumped 163 bbl. of oil and 337,000 cu. ft. of gas daily, with no water. The new discovery lies four miles southeast of Sublette, in Haskell County, Kan. The #1 Rowland C is in Section 14-30s-32w and is producing from an unreported interval of St. Louis above 5,750 ft. No other information was reported on the Hugoton Embayment discovery, which has been designated the Lockport Township Field opener. In addition, Oxy has completed four delineation tests as producers, #41 Stevens C and #42 Stevens C in Section 13-30s-32w, and #41 Hawley A and #42 Rowland C in Section 14-30s-32w, but additional data has not been released. The new field is in the greater Hugoton Gas Area east-southeast of Morrow oil producers in Diaden Field, and east-northeast of a Mississippian oil well in the Haskell Township Field area.
