Description
Mari Petroleum Ltd. announced an oilfield discovery in the Potohar District in the Ghauri concession (Block 3273-3) in Punjab, Pakistan. The #1X-Ghauri is expected to have a production of approximately 3,000 bbl/d of 23-24 degree-gravity-API oil upon development. The project is currently awaiting approval from the ministry for perforation. The well was drilled to 3,990 m and was completed in Sakesar. Islamabad, Pakistan-based Mari is the operator of the Ghauri Block and the discovery well with 65% interest in partnership with Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. holding the remaining 35%.
