Description
BHP Billiton plans to drill an appraisal well, #3DEL, on the Trion Field in the Gulf of Mexico in the Perdido Belt. According to BHP, that the primary objectives of the appraisal well and studies are to confirm the volume and composition of hydrocarbons near the crest of the Trion structure, and study the possible development of the Trion Field. The appraisal well will be drilled in 2019. Melbourne-based BHP is the operator of the Trion Block and Field with 60% interest (and operatorship) in partnership with Pemex, holding the remaining 40%.
