Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Apache Corp. has provided a technical evaluation update of offshore Suriname discovery #1-Kwaskwasi. The venture hit hydrocarbons in multiple stacked targets in the Upper Cretaceous-aged Santonian intervals with 278 m of net oil and volatile oil/gas condensate pay. The shallower Campanian interval contains 63 m of net oil pay and 86 m of net volatile oil/gas condensate pay. The Lower Santonian interval contains 129 m of net pay. Fluid samples from the Campanian validated the presence of 34-43° API oil. A second rig is under way at exploration well #1-Keskesi East and it will test Upper Cretaceous targets in Campanian and Santonian. Houston-based operator Apache holds a 50% working interest in Block 58 with Total (50%).
