Drilling Activity Summary

Description

An offshore Myanmar exploration well, #1A-Thalin in Block AD-7 in the Rakhine Basin, has intersected a gross gas column of 64 m. Approximately 62 m of net gas pay is interpreted within the primary target interval. According to Perth-based operator Woodside Petroleum Ltd., the well was drilled to 3,034m. This follows an earlier gas discovery by the company at #1-Shwe Yee Htun in Block A-6. Area water depth is 836 m. The #1A-Thalin's objective is to prove a working petroleum system. Operator Woodside holds 40% interest in Block AD-7 along with Daewoo International Corp., with a 60% interest. Additional seismic surveying is planned in 2016.
