Description
Panoro Energy ASA has announced an oil discovery at #1-Ruche North East Marin in offshore Gabon’s Dussafu Marin PSC license. According to the Oslo-based company, the well was drilled to identify additional oil resources in the pre-salt Gamba and Dentale in the greater Ruche area. It was drilled to 3,400 m in 115 m of water. Log evaluation, pressure data and fluid samples indicate that approximately 15 m of good quality oil pay was encountered in Gamba and 25 m in stacked reservoirs within Dentale. Additional testing is planned, including a sidetrack to appraise Dentale sands in an updip location and the lateral extent of the Gamba reservoir.
