Description
Royal Dutch Shell reported an offshore Gabon discovery in license area BCD10 at exploration well #1-Leopard. The well encountered a gas column with about 200 m of net gas pay in a pre-salt reservoir. The venture is in 2,110 m of water and was drilled to 5,063 m. Shell and partners are planning an appraisal program to further determine the resource volumes. The Hague-based Royal Dutch Shell is the operator of the BCD10 Block and #1-Leopard with 75% interest in partnership with China National Offshore Oil Corp., which holds the remaining 25%.
