Occidental Petroleum Corp. completed a horizontal Wolfcamp well in the Spraberry Trend of Howard County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The #1H Hendrix pumped 620 bbl of oil, 498 Mcf of gas and 692 bbl of water per day from acid-and fracture-treated Wolfcamp perforations at 8,353-12,867 ft. It was drilled to 13,417 ft with a true vertical depth of 8,061 ft and bottomed to the north. The discovery is on a 540-acre lease in Section 24, Block A, Bauer & Cockrell Survey, A-573. Occidental is based in Los Angeles.
