Description

IHS Markit reported that Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. has completed two extended-reach horizontal Niobrara producers in its Wells Ranch project area in Wattenberg Field. The discoveries are in Section 30-6n-63w in Weld County, Colo. Noble’s #26A-618 Shadow initially flowed 979 bbl of 52-degree-gravity oil/condensate, 885 Mcf of gas and 656 bbl of water per day. Production is from a lateral in Niobrara extending westward to 17,571 ft with a bottomhole location in Section 26-6n-64w. True vertical depth was expected at 6,723 ft and it was tested in a 20/64-in. choke following 86-stage fracturing between 6,946 and 12,293 ft. The #26A-627 Shadow flowed 812 bbl of 52-degree-gravity oil/condensate, 1.059 MMcf of gas and 902 bbl of water per day. It is producing from a west-trending lateral that was drilled to 17,678 ft with a true vertical depth of 6,648 ft. It bottomed to the west in Section 26-6n-64w and was tested on a 20/64-in. choke following 88-stage fracturing.
