Description
Results were announced by Burlington Resources Co. from a Niobrara delineation test in the Denver-Julesburg Basin within the Aurora, Colo., city limits. The #4-65 17-18-2DH Eastern Hills is in Section 17-4s-65w of Arapahoe County. It was tested flowing 223 bbl of 42-degree-gravity oil, with 254,000 cu ft of gas and 593 bbl of water daily. Production is from a Niobrara lateral drilled to the west to 18,122 ft with a bottom-hole location in Section 18. The true vertical depth was estimated at 7,967 ft. It was tested on a 22/64-in. choke following fracture stimulation in 17 stages between 9,045 and 13,061 ft.
