State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (Socar), and Equinor announced a Karabagh Field discovery in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea. Estimates indicate that the new field contains approximately 426 MMbbl of oil reserves, The appraisal well was drilled in a water depth of 180 m and the estimated reservoir depth is 3,400 m. Additional drilling and testing is planned.
