Description
Houston independent Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. completed a horizontal Muddy Sand oil discovery in Campbell County, Wyo. The #1H Mooney Draw is in Section 29-52n-74w and flowed an average of 93 bbl of oil, 161.1 Mcf of gas and 564 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal Muddy interval at 11,546-14,636 ft following a multi-stage fracturing. The lateral was drilled northeastward and additional details are not yet available. The discovery is in an area of shallow Fort Union coalbed methane production. Nearby Muddy production is about 4 miles to the southwest, at the vertically-drilled Echeta Field discovery, #1 Echeta Unit. The 1985 completion initially flowed 1.2 MMcf of gas, 109 bbl of condensate and 3 bbl of water per day.
