Walter Oil & Gas Corp., according to IHS Markit, has added three tests to the company’s Coelacanth Field program in the Gulf of Mexico. The #7-A OCS G35805 will be in 1,200 ft of water. It will be drilled from the existing A platform in Ewing Bank Block 834. The Miocene test will bottom to the northwest in Ewing Bank Block 789. A plan was recently approved for a well in the southeastern portion of Ewing Bank Block 833 (OCS G35960) and for a third well from the A platform that will bottom to the east in Mississippi Canyon Block 793 (OCS G33177).
