Description

Chief Oil & Gas LLC has permitted a 9,000-ft. Marcellus test in Cambria County, Pa. The #1 PMG Raby Unit is in a lightly drilled portion of Cambria County, with just three wells completed within five miles of the new location. In 1981 Berea Oil & Gas Corp.'s #1 Cambria Mining was drilled to 9,081 ft. It was tested flowing 820,000 cu. ft. of gas per day from Oriskany sand at 8,786-94 ft. No production information is available on the well. A 9,205-ft. gas well, also drilled in 1981, #1 Cambria Mining & Manufacturing, yielded 538.4 million cu. ft. of gas and 819 bbl. of water from Oriskany sand at 9,000-14 ft.
