Triana Energy Inc. of Charleston, W.V., has scheduled Marcellus shale drilling in Potter County, Pa. The company's #3H and #5H Sweden Valley Pad B are slated to be horizontally drilled from a common drilling pad. The #3H Sweden Valley Pad B is permitted to 12,042 ft. and #5H Sweden Valley Pad B is scheduled to reach 12,163 ft. - both tests have proposed true vertical depths of 6,456 ft. In early 2011, Triana staked #1H Sweden Valley Pad B and the planned 11,500-ft. horizontal test is scheduled to be drilled out of a 5,985-ft. pilot hole with a proposed true vertical depth of 5,900 ft. Nearby production comes from shallow gas in Inez Field. Most of the wells in the field, which came online in 1940, reached total depths of approximately 1,600 ft.
