Drilling Activity Summary

Description

In Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya Province, Moscow-based Lukoil reported a gas and condensate discovery in the Southwest Gissar Block. The exploration well was drilled on the Shurdarye Prospect and hit a gas-saturated Upper Jurassic carbonate formation at about 3,000 meters. The well flowed approximately 23 million cu. ft. of gas and 553 bbl. per day of condensate. Lukoil is analyzing results and plans to integrate Shurdarye Field into development of the block with other recent discoveries. It is also preparing to drill additional appraisal/exploration wells on the prospect. The concession is estimated to contain 1.42 trillion cu. ft. of gas and 23 million bbl. of oil and gas condensate.
