LLOG Exploration is under way at its Dome Patrol prospect in the western half of Mississippi Canyon Block 505 at #1 OCS G35827. Water depth in the area is 3,200 ft. The drilling rights to the Block 505 lease were acquired by LLOG at OCS Sale 241 held in 2016. One exploratory test was previously drilled on Block 505 under lease OCS G07946 — Shell Oil abandoned a 14,440-ft Pliocene venture in 1986.
