Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Two horizontal Olmos gas discoveries were announced by Laredo Energy LLC in southern Webb County (RRC Dist. 4), Texas. The #7H Needmore flowed 8.4 MMcf of gas, 194 bbl of condensate and 390 bbl of water per day. Production is from fractured Olmos perforations at 5,500-12,660 ft. Gauged on a 24/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,522 psi and shut-in casing pressure was 2,945 psi. The South Texas well is on a 12,065.23-acre lease in City of Laredo Survey, A-231. The lateral extends almost a mile and a half to the southeast. Within three miles to the west, #8H Needmore flowed 5.4 MMcf of gas, 9.6 bbl of condensate and 680 bbl of water per day. Production is from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 5,565-11,415 ft. It was tested on a 23/64-in. choke with a flowing casing pressure of 2,196 psi and a shut-in casing pressure of 2,795 psi. The venture is in Webb County School Land Survey, A-502 and the lateral extends over a mile to the north. Total depth at the Owen Field well is 11,500 ft, 4,947 ft true vertical. Laredo's headquarters are in Houston.
