Description
A Kara Sea exploration well by Rosneft at one of the northernmost wells in the world is has discovered oil. The #1-Universitetskaexploration is in the Vostochno (East) Prinovozemelskiy-1 license area. The Moscow-based company's well was drilled to 2,113 m in 24 m of water and is about 250 km offshore Arctic Russia. A pilot borehole was drilled to 600 m and horizontal drill samples were collected.
