Drilling Activity Summary

Description

A Caney Shale exploratory program in the western Arkoma Basin is planned by Austin-based Jones Energy Inc. According to IHS Inc., the operator has filed spacing and increased density causes with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission involving four horizontal Caney tests in Section 34-1n-10e, Coal County. There has been no reported Caney production in the county. In early 2014, Jones staked seven horizontal Woodford tests with laterals extending across Section 34 on two pads in the section to the north. The #1H, 2H and 3H Wildcat 34 are scheduled for a pad in Section 27-1n-10e; the company's #4H, #5H, #6H and #7H Wildcat 34 tests were staked a third of a mile to the west in Section 27-1n-10e. In June, Jones amended the permits on four of the other prospects to include Caney at #1H Wildcat 34; #2H Wildcat 34; #3H Wildcat 34 and #6H Wildcat 34.
