Description

IHS Markit reported that U.S. Energy Development Corp. has completed its first horizontal Wolfcamp well in the Ford West Field area in Culberson County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The #1HA Admiral William Halsey Jr. was tested flowing 4.402 MMcf of gas, 17 bbl of 53-degree-gravity condensate and 1.808 Mbbl of water per day from fracture-stimulated perforations at 7,729-11,994 ft. It was drilled to 12,140 ft on a 643.9-acre Delaware Basin lease in Section 4, Block 109, PSL Survey, A-6637. The lateral has a true vertical depth of 7,471 ft and bottomed about one mile to the south. An initial pilot hole reached 7,900 ft. Gauged on a 50/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 515 psi and the shut-in tubing pressure was 640 psi. To the west in the same section, Getzville, N.Y.-based company is underway at #2H Admiral William Halsey Jr.
