Description
A Forest City Basin horizontal discovery was reported by Roxanna Oil Co. in near Falls City in Nebraska's Richardson County. The #1-H Wayne is in Section 18-1n-16e and production is from Hunton at 2,889-3,823 ft. The well pumped 86 bbl of oil and 2.214 Mbbl of water per day after seven-stage acid treatment. It was drilled to 5,136 ft and the true vertical depth is 2,294 ft. It bottomed to the east in Section 17-1n-16e. The well is the basin’s first horizontal Hunton producer, however a handful of shallow, low-volume horizontal Pennsylvanian and Mississippian wells have been completed in the southern portion of the basin in Kansas. Roxanna Oil is based in Houston.
