Drilling Activity Summary

Description

According to IHS Markit, South Pass Petroleum Inc. has permitted a horizontal Frontier test in the Big Horn Basin in Washakie County, Wyo. The venture by the Cheyenne-based company, #3-27H Sand Creek Government, has a planned true vertical depth of 6,770 ft and will be in Section 27-46n-91w. The lateral is slated to bottom about one-half mile to the northwest in the same section — a successful completion would re-establish production in Sand Creek Field. The proposed drillsite offsets #85-27 Government, a 6,911-ft Frontier oil well completed in 1948 in Sand Creek Field. It was tested flowing 150 bbl of crude per day from an openhole interval at 6,884-6,911 ft — well-level production data is unavailable.
