Description
A horizontal Eagle Ford shale discovery was reported in Rapides Parish, La., by IHS Inc. Indigo II Louisiana Operating LLC's #1 Bentley Lumber 34H flowed 543 bbl. of oil equivalent (80% oil) per day. The Houston-based company completed a 15-stage fracture stimulation of an undisclosed producing interval. The discovery is in Section 34-5n-5w and was drilled to 15,050 ft., 10,649 ft. true vertical. The lateral bottomed to the north beneath Section 27. According to Indigo, the well was successfully drilled without using an intermediate casing string through the shale. Oil is currently being trucked to sales and the gas is temporarily being flared. Indigo holds almost 260,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford play in Louisana.
