Hilcorp Energy Co. staked a directional test in Lafourche Parish, La., in Lake Raccourci Field. Located in Section 24-21s-20e, #1 State Lease 21782 is targeting pays in Bigenerina 2 (Miocene). The planned depth is 15,314 ft (14,250 ft true vertical). Offsetting the proposed bottomhole is a vertical test drilled in 1951: #1 State Lease 01449 was abandoned at 14,065 ft. To the southwest, Refugio, Texas-based Hilcorp tested #1 State Lease 20892 in 2013 flowing 14.8 MMcf of gas and 1.115 Mbbl of condensate per day from Middle Miocene at 14,933-68 ft. The directional gas well was drilled to 15,735 ft, 15,303 ft true vertical.
