IHS Markit reported that Alaska Division of Oil & Gas has approved a unit plan of operations for Refugio, Texas-based Hilcorp Energy Co. for a directional delineation test to be drilled from the Pearl pad on the Kenai Peninsula. Hilcorp proposes to construct an approximately 3.77-acre gravel pad on privately owned surface land outside the Ninilchik Unit, directionally drill a gas delineation well, #2A Pearl, into the unit and test the well to determine commercial viability. It will be directionally drilled to the north from a surface location in Section 23-1s-14w, Seward Meridian with a planned bottomhole location in Section 14 within oil and gas lease ADL 384372.
