Houston-based Halcon Resources Inc. has brought online its first operated well on the Hackberry Draw prospect in Pecos County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The #1H Balbo-Adrianna West is producing from Wolfcamp B through, according to the company, an effective lateral length of 9,698 ft. The company also reported that the well’s current peak 10-day average is 1.278 Mboe per day and the 20-day average is 1.149 Mboe per day, comprised of 74% oil (two stream). The well had a peak 24-hour rate of 1.415 Mboe per day in late August with a current production rate of about 1.26 Mboe per day. It was drilled to 20,718 ft and the true vertical depth is 10,615. The discovery is in Section 43 of T&P RR CO A-967.
