Description

Wagner Oil Co. has reported results from a workover of an abandoned granite wash well in Hutchinson County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. According to IHS Markit, #6 Harlan, Section 13, Block 3, BS&F Survey, A-22, produced 34 bbl of 38-degree-gravity crude with 10 Mcf of gas and 51 bbl of water per day. Production is from an untreated interval of Pennsylvanian granite wash (the 5400 sand) at 5,412-18 ft. It was tested on a 32/64-in. choke and the flowing tubing pressure was 280 psi. WG Operating Co. originally completed the 6,475-ft well in 2009 pumping 75 bbl of 37-degree-gravity oil, 35 Mcf of gas per day with no water, from two granite wash zones at 6,354-58 and 6,398-6,408 ft. It was shut-in in 2015 after recovering 16 Mbbl of oil and 65 MMcf of gas. Wagner Oil is based on Fort Worth.
