Description
On the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin, Moriah Operating LLC has completed its first operated horizontal Garden City South Field well in Scurry County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas. The #1H Tigger was tested pumping 620 bbl of 37.7-degree-gravity crude, 564 Mcf of gas and 1.983 Mbbl of water per day from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 7,742-12,113 ft in Strawn. The sidetracked lateral was drilled to 12,196 ft, 6,875 ft true vertical, and is in Section 50, Block 3, H&TC RR Co Survey, A-580. The leg runs under U.S. Highway 180, bottoming more than 1 mile to the northwest beneath Section 27. Moriah’s headquarters are in Midland, Texas.
