Description
A horizontal wildcat on the southwestern flank of the Powder River Basin was announced by Liberty Resources LLC as an Upper Cretaceous Frontier Sand discovery. The #4275-26-23-1FH Scorpion E flowed 965 bbl of oil, 1.345 MMcf of gas and 1.967 Mbbl of water per day. The well is in Section 26-42n-75w of Campbell County, Wyo. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Frontier extending from 12,330 ft to the northeast to 21,812 ft, 12,009 ft true vertical. It bottomed in Section 23-42n-75w and was tested on a 20/64-in. choke following acid cleanup and 35-stage fracturing between 12,405 and 21,442 ft. Liberty’s headquarters are in Denver.
