Drilling Activity Summary

Description

WPX Energy Inc. released results from five Phantom Field discoveries in Section 44, Block 27, PSL/McKee Survey in Texas’ Winkler County (RRC Dist. 8). The 22,361-ft #9H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 had a true vertical depth of 12,002 ft. It is producing from Upper Wolfcamp A at 12,192-22,238 ft flowing 795 bbl of 43° API oil and 1.056 MMcf of gas per day. Tested on a 25/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,494 psi. The #12H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 has a total depth of 21,700 ft and a true vertical depth of 12,115 ft. It flowed 734 bbl of 43° API oil and 936,000 cu ft of gas per day from Upper Wolfcamp A perforations at 12,327-21,606 ft. It was tested on a 24/64-inch choke and the flowing casing pressure was 2,469 psi. The #6H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 F was drilled to 22,428 ft, 12,123 ft true vertical. It produced 877 bbl of 43° API oil and 978,000 ci ft of gas per day. Production is from perforations at 12,192-22,238 ft. Gauged on a 25/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,500 psi. The #8H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 H has a total depth of 22,620 ft and a true vertical depth of 12,147 ft. It flowed 670 bbl of 43° API oil and 893,000 cu ft of gas per day from perforations at 12,362-22,492 ft. Tested on a 25/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure 2,643 psi. The final completion of the pad, #13H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 M, is a Lower Wolfcamp A discovery. It initially flowed 735 bbl of 43° API oil with 955,000 cu ft of gas per day. It was drilled to 21,726 ft (11,911 ft true vertical) and is producing from a perforated zone at 12,152-21,632 ft. The flowing casing pressure was 2,300 psi during testing on a 25/64-inch choke. WPX Energy is now an affiliate of Devon Energy following the company’s merger, which closed January 2021.
