Description
Apache Corp. has permitted five Texas Panhandle delineation wells targeting Pennsylvanian Canyon – four of which are in Potter County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. One of two vertical ventures, #8901 Bivins East, will be in Section 89, Block 47, H&TC Survey, A-236, is projected to 10,000 ft. It is in an undrilled section about 1 mile northwest of a horizontal Canyon discovery (#2H Masterson 87) completed by Apache in 2015, which was incorporated into Bivins-LIT Field. Within 2 miles to the west-southwest, a horizontal test at #4302H Bivins East will be in Section 92, block 47, H&TC survey, A-1396. This prospect is designed with a northeast wellbore extending to a bottom-hole location in Section 44, Block GM-2, G&M Survey, A-498. To the northwest in Section 40, Block GM-2, G&M Survey, A-506, #5101H Bivins East will be drilled to the northeast with a 1.5-mile lateral across Section 39 and 52, Block GM-2, G&M Survey. It will bottom in Section 51, A-485, of the latter survey. The #3601H Bivins East will be in Section 101, Block 47, H&TC Survey, A-242 and will be drilled about 1.5 mile to the northeast and will bottom in Section 36, Block GM-2, G&M Survey, A-491. A vertical prospect in the northeastern portion of Oldham County (RRC Dist. 10) at #2807 Bivins-Lit has a planned depth of 11,000 ft and will be in Section 28, Block GM-2, G&M Survey, A-278.
