In Uintah County, Utah, Finley Resources Inc. completed a vertical Uinta Basin exploratory test that initially pumped 43 bbl of 38-degree-gravity oil and 595 bbl of water per day. The #1-6A-5-2 Black Bear is in Section 1 of partial township 5s-2e. Production is from the five fractured intervals in Green River and Wasatch: Garden Gulch, 4,096-4,568 ft; Douglas Creek, 4,698-5,073 ft; Black Shale, 5,186-5,715 ft; Uteland Buttes 5,738-5,867 ft; and Wasatch at 5,885-5,994 ft. It was drilled and cased to 6,133 ft. Finley’s headquarters are in Fort Worth.
