Description

Fidelity Exploration and Production Co. announced plans to drill three horizontal delineation tests targeting Paradox Cane Creek Shale in the Paradox Basin in Grand County, Utah. The #5-2-25-18 Cane Creek Unit has a planned depth of 13,597 ft. The #13-1-25-18 Cane Creek Unit has a planned depth of 15,060 ft. The #21-1-25-19 Cane Creek Unit has a planned depth of 12,854 ft. The #5-2-25-18 Cane Creek Unit is 2 miles northwest the Hell Roaring Field at #10-1 Kane Springs-Federal. The 1992 discovery initially flowed 1.273 Mbbl of oil, 757 Mcf of gas and 47 bbl of water per day from a horizontal Cane Creek interval at 8,948-9,080 ft, The #13-1-25-18 Cane Creek Unit is two miles southeast of the Hell Roaring Field discovery. The #21-1-25-19 Cane Creek Unit within 2 miles to the north-northwest of Bartlett Flat Field. In late 2012, Fidelity completed #28-2H Cane Creek Unit that initially flowed 225 bbl of oil and 93 Mcf of gas per day from an untreated horizontal Cane Creek interval at 9,595-10,392 ft. Since 2007, the Denver-based company has a regional multi-well E&D program targeting Cane Creek and now includes numerous producers in Bartlett Flat, Big Flat, Park Road and Long Canyon fields, an area collectively referred to as Big Flat.
