Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Two horizontal Cotton Valley-Brachfield Southeast Field completions were announced by Denver-based Fidelity Exploration & Production Co. in Rusk County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas. The #1H Poovey/Marks-Poovey flowed 6.56 MMcf of gas, 24 bbl of 58.6-degree-gravity condensate and 392 bbl of water per day from perforations at 10,960-16,386 ft. It was tested on a 32/64-in. choke with a flowing casing pressure of 2,465 psi and a shut-in casing pressure of 3,015 psi. The 16,667-ft well has a true vertical depth of 10,586 ft and is on a 618.1-acre lease in Reuben A. Cole Survey, A-193. It bottomed about one mile to the south beneath John Ferguson Survey, A-301. The #1H Blackstone/Harrell produced 102 Mcf of gas and 488 bbl of water per day from perforations at 11,160-13,204 ft. The flowing casing pressure was 1,015 psi and the shut-in casing pressure was 1,515 psi when tested on a 37/64-in. choke. The 16,649 ft well has a true vertical depth of 10,552 ft and is on a 1,280-acre lease in Frederick Blanchard Survey, A-84. The discovery bottomed just over a mile to the south beneath B.A. Vansickle Survey, A-799.
