Description
In the Gran Chaco Province of Bolivia, Vintage Petroleum Inc., subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corp., has confirmed shallow gas resources of approximately 200 MMcf of gas and 11 MMboe of liquids in Chorro, Tupambi and Iquiri formations at exploratory well #1X-Chaco Este. The company is planning 11 development wells in 2019—five will be gas wells and six will be oil wells. The maximum production of this field is expected to be about 35 MMcf of gas and 5 Mbbl of oil per day. Additional exploration for other shallow and deep gas and oil resources in the Carandaiti, Sayurenda and Yuarenda areas is planned for 2020.
