Description

A horizontal Enterprise Field producer was announced by Three Span Oil & Gas in Scurry County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas. The #1H Thunder Valley 240 Unit was tested flowing 366 bbl of 41.5-degree-gravity crude, 546 Mcf of gas and 1.435 Mbbl of water per day from acid- and fracture-stimulated Strawn perforations at 7,474-14,475 ft. Gauged on a 27/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 680 psi. The discovery was drilled to 14,544 ft, 7,199 ft true vertical, and is in Section 240, Block 3, H&TC RR Co Survey, A-2503. The lateral bottomed within 2 miles to the southeast in Section 3, Block O, J.B. Scarbrough Survey, A-516. The 523.4-acre lease is on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin. The pilot hole was drilled to 7,604 ft, with an initial lateral abandoned at 12,683 ft (7,210 ft true vertical). Three Span is based in Midland, Texas.
