Loveland, Colo.-based Peterson Energy Operating Inc. has scheduled eight horizontal wildcats in the northern Denver-Julesburg Basin. The #1H through 8H Ruppert will be in Section 22-16n-66w of Laramie County, Wyo. The ventures will be drilled from a common drillpad northward to bottom-hole locations in Section 15-16n-66w. Four of the ventures will be drilled in Niobrara to a true vertical depth of 8,850 ft, while four other tests will be drilled in Codell to a true vertical depth of 9,181 ft. Nearby production is within 2 miles to the north of a horizontal Codell discovery at 3#5-12-1CH Gaviota in Section 35-16n-66w.
