Description

Castex Energy Inc. announced a Miocene gas discovery in Terrebonne Parish, La. The Houston-based company’s #1 Louisiana Land & Exploration flowed 6.608 MMcf of gas per day through perforations from Textularia L (Miocene) at 17,164-17,229 ft. The directional well was drilled to 18,071 ft and is in irregular Section 35-20s-14e and was tested on a 12/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 5,618 psi. The discovery opens King Lake Field.
