Description
A Chambers County (RRC Dist. 3), Texas, directional Frio discovery was announced by Samson Energy. The #1 McGown Farms Gas Unit flowed 4.94 MMcf of gas, 861 bbl of 39.3-degree-gravity oil and 7 bbl of water per day. Production is from perforations at 13,620-26 ft. It was drilled to 14,398 ft, 13,939 ft true vertical. Gauged on an 11/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 7,759 psi and the shut-in casing pressure was 8,712 psi. Tulsa-based Samson's well is on a 56-acre lease in Section 76, T&NO RR Co Survey, A-550, and the lateral bottomed within 2 miles to the east-northeast.
