Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Two horizontal Barnett Shale wells in the Fort Worth Basin in Wise County (RRC Dist. 9), Texas were completed by Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy. The wells were drilled from Newark East Field pad in James Jones Survey, A-455. According to IHS Markit, #1H G.E. Nelon (AW) produced 3.297 MMcf of gas with 38 bbl of 59.3-degree-gravity condensate and 217 bbl of water per day from acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations at 6,767-14,488 ft. Gauged on an open choke, respective flowing and shut-in tubing pressures were 324 psi and 1,231 psi. It was drilled to 14,626 ft (6,730 ft true vertical) and the lateral bottomed about 1.5 miles to the northwest. Drilled from an offsetting location, #2H G.E. Nelon (AW) flowed 3.635 MMcf of gas, 28 bbl of 60.2-degree-gravity condensate and 372 bbl of water per day. Production is from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 6,712-14,191 ft. It was drilled to 14,333 ft (6,756 ft true vertical) with a parallel lateral bottoming to the northwest.
