Description
Houston-based Talos Energy LLC has received a permit for a development test in the company’s Boris Field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The #3SS OCS G16727 will be drilled in the central portion of Green Canyon Block 282 and area water depth is 2,350 ft. Offsetting the company’s scheduled test is a Pliocene oil well drilled in 2002 and now operated by Talos: #1 OCS G16727 has recovered 10.4 MMbbl of crude and 17 Bcf of gas as part of Block 282 field. Talos also operates #2 OCS G16727 on Block 282 as well as #1SS OC G26302, which bottomed northeast in Block 238.
