Murphy Exploration & Production is drilling development test in Dalmatian North Field, a one-well Gulf of Mexico reservoir brought online in 2014. The #2SS OCS G10437 is in the southeastern portion of DeSoto Canyon Block 4 and area water depth is 5,900 ft. According to a company investor presentation, Murphy intends to bring the Dalmatian North Field well online by the end of 2019. Murphy’s offsetting #1SS OCS G10437 yields crude from an Upper Miocene zone at 12,410-12,734 ft. Through February 2019, recovery from the discovery totaled 6.5 MMbbl of crude and 6.2 Bcf of gas.
