Drilling Activity Summary

Description

DNO ASA announced a Cretaceous oil discovery in the Kurdistan region of Iraq in the southern flank of the Peshkabir Field. The #2-Peshkabir was tested on a 52/64-in. choke flowing 3.8 Mbbl of 28-degree-gravity API oil per day from a 170-m interval. The well was designed to test the Cretaceous horizon and appraise the previously tested deeper Jurassic reservoir at a 2012 discovery to the west of Tawke Field. The planned depth of the venture was 3,500 m and will test Jurassic. The Oslo-based company is considering a geological sidetrack in the central part of the Peshkabir structure or a third well.
