Description

CountryMark Energy Resources has added three tests to the Evansville, Ind.-based company’s drilling program in Illinois’ Waltonville Field. According to IHS Markit, the wells will be in Jefferson County. The #1 Padgett and #8 Panzier will be vertically drilled to 4,999 ft and will be targeting deeper pays in Grand Tower (Middle Devonian). The #1 Padgett will be in Section 30-3s-2e, and #8 Panzier will be in Section 30. The fourth well, #2 Padgett, will be in Section 29 and the proposed depth is 3,999 ft in Salem Lime. Waltonville Field was opened in 1943. Wells in the Illinois reservoir produce from several Mississippian pays, with the deepest wells in the field recovering crude from Borden at 3,577 ft. The company has also completed two horizontal wells in the field. The #5H HOR Philp in Section 29 was tested in 2016 pumping 13 bbl of crude per day from Borden at 4,069-6,543 ft and was drilled to 6,543 ft. The #2H HOR Soaper in Section 32 was horizontally completed in 2015 in a Borden zone at 4,113-5,740 ft.
