A remote wildcat is planned in the nonproducing Gabbs Valley in Nye County, Nev., by Reno-based Cortez Exploration LLC. The #41-1 Gabbs will be in Section 1-12n-34e. No objectives and/or target depth were released for the currently unpermitted well. Nearby drilling occurred at a 2003 prospect about 3 miles to the east at #1-4 Gigante, which was drilled to 7,707 ft and cased to 7,502 ft. No additional information was released.
