Description

According to Brisbane-based Cooper Energy, the operator has spud #4-Bunian, an oil appraisal/development well in the KSO Tangai-Sukananti Block, South Sumatra, Indonesia The.#4-Bunian is an onshore directional well with a planned depth of 1,712 m. The primary target is the Talang Akar TRM-3 Sand at 450 m, which is east-southeast of the same reservoir in #3-Bunian. The venture's secondary objectives are to appraise the extent of the oil pool discovered in the K1 Sand at #3 ST2-Bunian and assess the TRM-1 and TRM-2 Sands, which were not evaluated in the previously drilled wells. The TRM-3 Sand is currently producing oil at a capacity-constrained rate of approximately 650 bbl/d at #1-Bunian and 1.743 bbl/d at #3-Bunian. The joint venture partners in Tangai-Sukananti KSO are Cooper Energy, 55 per cent and Mega Adhyaksa Pratama Sukananti Ltd., 45 per cent.
