Drilling Activity Summary

Description

A horizontal Codell discovery was announced by EnerPlus Resources in its Denver-Julesburg Basin exploratory program. The #8-67-36-25C Maple was tested flowing 270 bbl of 37-degree-gravity oil, with 243 Mcf of gas and 710 bbl of water per day from Codell. It is in Section 36-8n-67w in Colorado’s Weld County. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Codell that was drilled to the north to 16,977 ft, 7,285 ft true vertical, with a bottom-hole location in Section 25-8n-67w. It was tested on a 28/64-in. choke after 40-stage fracturing between 7,624 and 16,923 ft. The lateral was perforated in Codell at 7,624-10,093; 10,408-10,679; 10,966-11,633 and 12,832-16,923 ft. It was perforated in Fort Hays at 10,093-10,408, 12,672-12,832 ft, and in Carlile at 10,679-10,966 and 11,633-12,672 ft. EnerPlus’ headquarters are in Calgary.
