Description
China National Offshore Oil Corp. announced a large heavy oil discovery in the Laizhou Bay Sag in the southern portion of Bohai Bay. The #10-2 Kenli encountered oil in the lower member of Neogene Minghuazhen. The original discovery well at #10-2-4 Kenli was drilled and completed at a depth of 1,520 m and hit about 27 m of oil. The appraisal well was tested to produce approximately 569 bbl of oil per day. Area water depth is about 16 m.
