Description

Two extended-reach horizontal Turner discoveries were announced by Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Operating Inc. In Section 19-34n-72w of Converse County, Wyo., #19-34-72 A TR 23H SFU initially flowed 961 bbl of oil and 1.065 MMcf of gas per day. Production is from a lateral drilled north-northwestward to 20,420 ft with a bottom-hole location in Section 18-34n-72w and a true vertical depth of 12,449 ft. It was tested on a 26/64-in. choke after 30-stage fracture stimulation between 12,905 and 20,260 ft. Four miles to the east-southeast in Section 26-34n-72ew, #26-34-72 C TR 20H NWFU flowed 1.448 Mbbl of 41.9-degree-gravity oil, 2.708 MMcf of gas and 1.691 Mbbl of water per day from a lateral extending south-southeastward to 21,378 ft. It bottomed in Section 2-33n-72w with a true vertical depth of 12,183 ft. It was tested on a 32/64-in. choke after a 35-stage fracturing between 12,619 and 21,217 ft.
